Providing a stuffed animal to comfort a child in need. Our program helps give kids comfort in their time of need. Why a teddy bear? When kids are involved in any emergency situation, there can be a lot of anxiety, confusion, and pain. Handing over a fuzzy little teddy bear to a child in an emergency situation can often make the outcome a little brighter!

Community Health Care Day!DCAA, during the months of April-September, will reach out to various areas of Doddridge County. During this day, members from the community can come have full health screens done at no charge to the citizen, since access to healthcare (doctors offices or hospitals) is very limited in Doddridge County. This program can catch early signs of high/low blood pressure, early signs of diabetes, or heart problems that a patient would routinely have checked at normal check-up. Check our Facebook Page for the location and time of these screening locations!

Stop the Bleed Courses!Doddridge County Ambulance Authority is passionate about providing practical and beneficial courses to the public. With Doddridge County being a very rural area, time truly does matter when it comes to medical care. At DCAA, we knew that the #1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding and wanted to start providing classes for the citizens of Doddridge County. We take pride in knowing that all instructors and staff of Doddridge County Schools are now Stop the Bleed certified thanks to the employees of DCAA. If interested in taking the course, please reach out to gguire@dcaaems.org to schedule your class!
